Welcome!
We don’t always talk about the hard parts of birth and postpartum — the fear, the pain, the moments that feel heavier than expected.
Many families imagine having a baby as joyful (and it is!). It can ALSO be overwhelming. For many, feeding their baby took a lot of trial & error and maybe was painful, at first. Emotions can swing from high to low, sometimes the baby blues – sometimes postpartum depression and anxiety.
Fear in birth. Pain with breastfeeding. Postpartum depression. These aren’t signs of weakness — they’re part of the human side of parenting that too often gets hidden.
I can be the doula who connects with you and shines light on your strength and intuition. You will feel your inner powers and you will thrive.
Hi, I’m Andria Foydl, Doula and Founder of Mama Llama Doula Care.
You are probably wondering who I am and why I could be a loving doula for you or someone you know.
It All Started Here:
I have often found myself wishing I had known about doulas before I had my five children lying on my back in a hospital bed feeling alone and like I had no voice, no choice or alternatives to epidurals each time.
Likewise, as a postpartum mom, I struggled with all the things: bloody nipples and painful breasts; long-lasting postpartum depression; pressure to “bounce back” and continue homemaking for the family; distracted and limited support from partner and family; and very little knowledge of cues and normal milestones for my babies.
Great News!
I understand so much more now and I want to share it with every mama who wants to hear, see, and feel gentler more supportive care.
You can count on me.
I’ll stand by you no matter what choices you make as your birth and postpartum experiences unfold. I’ll talk to you about BRAIN (Benefits, Risks, Alternatives, Intuition, and choosing Nothing as an option) so you can make your own decisions and advocate for your desires.
I created Mama Llama Doula Care to offer the kind of steady, heart-centered support I wish every family had: the kind that says, “I’ve got you and you’re ok”—especially when you feel like you’re falling apart.
You are preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a newborn, and/or navigating complex feelings around your experience. I’ll walk with you and I’ll hold space for it all with empathy and respect.
