I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor and certified hypnotherapist who specializes in stress and anxiety. 

Compassion, Stress Relief and Finding Answers

Having a baby or raising children can be very stressful and can cause a lot anxiety. I put a strong emphasis on treating stress and anxiety because it is a huge contributing factor or cause of so many other health concerns such as high blood pressure, sleep issues, weight gain, lowered immune function, digestive issues, and increased risk for heart disease. I strongly believe that the mind-body connection is an essential component of health. Mental and emotional well-being can contribute to one’s physical health, and vice versa. My goal is to help empower people to become the best version of themselves, to not simply be symptom-free, but also happy and loving their life.

Dr. Alice Fong is a licensed naturopathic doctor, certified hypnotherapist, and licensed massage therapist who specializes in stress and anxiety. She uses a holistic proactive approach centered around addressing the root cause using nutrition, lifestyle interventions, functional medicine labs, coaching, massage therapy, hypnotherapy/NLP, and biofeedback training. She puts a strong emphasis on treating stress because it is a huge contributing factor or cause of so many other health concerns such as high blood pressure, sleep issues, weight gain, lowered immune function, digestive issues, and increased risk for heart disease.

Her goal is to help empower people to become the best version of themselves, to not simply be symptom-free, but also happy and loving their life. She has given several talks around the country for healthcare providers, corporations, women’s conferences and for the general public.

Dr. Alice is the creator and co-host of the HappyTalks Podcast. She also is a world traveler, dog owner, crossfit athlete, and lover of deep authentic conversations.

I saw Alice for biofeedback to help control my anxiety & recurring migraines. She did a wonderful job explaining my parasympathetic nervous system to me, as well as the science behind biofeedback. She is very passionate about what she does and it shows. Her prices are very fair and I was told recently she would be accepting insurance soon, which is always a bonus! I sought out hypnotherpay as a last-ditch effort to overcome my fear of flying, and I assumed I was throwing money away. I'd tried many other methods, including prescription meds, and nothing worked. I wasn't just a 'nervous flyer' -- I was the kind of person you'd move your seat to get away from. I flew less than once a year, and those trips were brutal on me and everyone around me. No joke, this was real, pure fear in its most concentrated form. I went for two 90-minute hypnotherapy sessions to address my flying fear -- I'd accepted a promotion that required me to fly frequently, and had gone so far as to book flights, knowing full well that, if the therapy didn't work, I'd be a no-show at the airport. Within the first twenty minutes of my first session, Alice had helped me unravel so much about my fear that I was able to see, for the very first time, that my fear wasn't about flying. And once it wasn't about flying, it became harder and harder to be afraid. The sessions allowed me to engage in a dialog with my fear -- in a way, I was separating my fearful self from my non-fearful self, and Alice provided the guidance to help dissolve the fear and turn it into a source of strength. It's hard to describe hypnotherapy, other than to say it's not hypnosis. I can only tell you it worked for me when I didn't think anything could. I can't thank Alice enough for her guidance, support, and expert care. Within weeks of my two sessions, I was flying solo for work, taking propellor planes and commuter jets, handling flight delays and nearly missed connections -- all things I NEVER thought I could do. What's amazing about hypnotherapy is that you don't need months of talk therapy to lay the groundwork for progress. The issues that my sessions brought to the surface were surprising to me, and I've continued to see Alice to address the deeper emotional underpinnings of my fear and anxiety, but even without the continued support, after my two sessions I was able to fly. By myself. A lot. I can't express how proud I am to be a flyer. I can only say that, without Alice, I wouldn't have been able to do it.
