Welcome!

I'm Dr. Alice Fong, ND, CHt, LMT

I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor who helps people figure out what they can eat to feel the best that they can.

Care, Compassion, Finding Answers

Nutrition is the foundation of health. I give my patients a nutrition plan that factors in any food sensitivities, allergies or nutritional deficiencies. The food you put into your body can significantly impact your mood, sleep, digestion and so much more. I help people figure out what they can and cannot eat using lab testing and customized diets so they can feel the best they can in their bodies.

About

Dr. Alice Fong is a licensed naturopathic doctor, certified hypnotherapist, and licensed massage therapist who specializes in stress and anxiety. She uses a holistic proactive approach centered around addressing the root cause using nutrition, lifestyle interventions, functional medicine labs, coaching, massage therapy, hypnotherapy/NLP, and biofeedback training. She puts a strong emphasis on treating stress because it is a huge contributing factor or cause of so many other health concerns such as high blood pressure, sleep issues, weight gain, lowered immune function, digestive issues, and increased risk for heart disease.

Dr. Alice strongly believes that the mind-body connection is an essential component of health. Mental and emotional well-being can contribute to one’s physical health, and vice versa. Her goal is to help empower people to become the best version of themselves, to not simply be symptom-free, but also happy and loving their life. She has been featured on NBC, CBS, FOX, Health Digest, USA Today, MDRadio, Parade, and several other media outlets. She has given several talks around the country for healthcare providers, corporations, women’s conferences and for the general public.

Dr. Alice is the creator and co-host of the HappyTalks Podcast. She also is a world traveler, dog owner, crossfit athlete, and lover of deep authentic conversations.

Hear from my families

I have been a registered nurse for the past 37 years and I like to think I focus on healthy life habits most of the time. I ran a weight management program in 2005-2010 through a cardiac clinic and was intrigued by the trending healthy heart eating habits we were promoting. Lots of whole grains and fibers were promoted, and I began to learn about good fats. In the past few years, I heard about food sensitivities and “allergies” and your gut’s reaction to many of these foods. Many of these foods were the ones I promoted. That is when I decided to be involved in a program where I would test my gut and see how my body reacted. I never thought I would be able to participate in an elimination diet and stick to it. But, I did, and it really surprised me. Within three weeks I felt great! I remember my husband commenting on the amount of energy I had and asking if I thought it was the food plan. I stuck with the eating plan for over three months......and did great. Even after adding my normal foods back in after six months I lost 37 pounds. I feel great!

When was the last time you spent 90 minutes with your doctor? I went to Dr. Fong to address my thyroid and lose some weight. She recommended that I try the elimination diet to see if it would help in regulating both. Six weeks later, I have lost 14 lbs and feel much better. I also found out that I have an intolerance to certain foods. I was completely unaware before undergoing this diet. Thanks!
