Welcome!

I'm Kelly Beckham, The Mama Coach

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Obstetric Registered Nurse, I offer personalized, evidence-informed care and actionable solutions—blending clinical expertise with real-life understanding to make feeding feel less overwhelming and more joyful.

Evidence. Informed. Solutions.

Feeding your baby is one of the most personal parts of early parenthood—and it often comes with unexpected questions, challenges, and emotions. As a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I provide personalized, evidence-informed support for every stage of the feeding journey. Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or navigating transitions like weaning, returning to work, or starting solids I offer individualized consultations, customized plans, and continued guidance. My goal is to make feeding feel less stressful and more supported, so you can focus on what matters most—connecting with your baby.

About

I live in Granite Bay, California, with my family and have been dedicated to maternal-child nursing for nearly two decades. My academic journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College. Throughout my career, I have supported families across diverse healthcare settings, guiding them through pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and early childhood. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Pediatric Sleep Consultant.

Becoming a parent in 2008 changed everything—an incredible journey of joy, learning, and more sleepless nights than I ever imagined, all while constantly wondering if I was getting it right. This blend of clinical expertise and personal experience fuels my passion for supporting families today. My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and tailored to each beautifully unique family, because parenting isn’t one-size-fits-all. No one should have to navigate this journey alone, and every parent deserves support, guidance, and real solutions that make the experience feel less overwhelming and more empowering. It is an honor to walk alongside families, offering expertise, reassurance, and a compassionate presence every step of the way.

"Your feeding story may look different than you imagined. That doesn't make it less beautiful- only more real"

Hear from my families

"Kelly arrived with such calm and confidence, plus she really listened! I had been to previous LC's and my pediatrician for [baby]'s colic and felt dismissed. She helped us get [baby] more content and fed better without me feeling like a failure. What also stood out is that she didn’t just leave us hanging. She gave us a plan to follow, answered my questions afterward through emails and phone calls for the coming weeks, and even sent an ebook that I still use all the time. She made our whole experience feel way less stressful. I plan to work with her again when we start solids- I wouldn’t want to do it without her."

"A friend recommended Kelly, and we had her come in as a last chance before I gave up on breastfeeding. I was in so much pain- my nipples were cracked and bleeding, and I dreaded every feed. Kelly figured out what was going on, showed me how I was going to heal, and then how I was going to change how I was feeding my baby. When I was more healed in a couple days we had a recheck visit to make the breastfeeding changes and it actually worked. I can feed without pain anymore. That support, staying in contact with me, and believing in me when I didn't meant so much, and now I actually enjoy feeding my baby again. I wish we met with Kelly sooner. I definitely recommend her to all parents."
