Welcome!

I'm Kelly Beckham, The Mama Coach

As an Obstetric Registered Nurse, Lactation Specialist, and Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I provide expert consultations, compassionate support, and real solutions to help families navigate parenthood with confidence and peace of mind.

Evidence. Informed. Solutions.

With nearly two decades as a Registered Nurse in labor & delivery, postpartum, newborn care, and women’s health, I’ve helped countless families navigate early parenthood. I take a holistic, big-picture approach because feeding, sleep, and postpartum recovery don’t happen in a vacuum. Everything is connected, and when one thing is off, it can throw everything else out of sync. As a Registered Nurse and mom, I get it—sometimes you need (and DESERVE) real, professional solutions, not just “this too shall pass.” I combine professional expertise with real-life experience to develop practical, actionable solutions that work for you and feel good for your family. I firmly believe that we work toward your goals—if something isn’t a problem for you, it’s not a problem to fix. But if it is, I’m here to help with nonjudgmental, empathetic, and evidence-backed support tailored to your family’s needs. Through education, preparation, and personalized plans, I provide professional guidance and real solutions to help you navigate the challenges of parenthood with confidence. Whether in person or virtually, I bridge the gap between hospital, clinic, and home, offering nursing-based assessments, lactation support, pediatric sleep consulting, bottle feeding guidance, doula care, and more, with some insurance plans accepted.

About

I live in Granite Bay, California, with my family and have been dedicated to maternal-child health for nearly two decades. My academic journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College. Throughout my career, I have supported families across diverse healthcare settings, guiding them through pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and early childhood. I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with decades of experience in lactation support and am excited to sit for my IBCLC exam this year to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Becoming a parent in 2008 changed everything—an incredible journey of joy, learning, and more sleepless nights than I ever imagined, all while constantly wondering if I was getting it right. This blend of clinical expertise and personal experience fuels my passion for supporting families today. My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and tailored to each beautifully unique family, because parenting isn’t one-size-fits-all. No one should have to navigate this journey alone, and every parent deserves support, guidance, and real solutions that make the experience feel less overwhelming and more empowering. It is an honor to walk alongside families, offering expertise, reassurance, and a compassionate presence every step of the way.

“Parenting is a wild ride—equal parts magic and exhaustion. It’s okay to need help, and no, you’re not doing it wrong. With the right support, you can move from survival mode to feeling confident, capable, and well-rested (or at least more rested than you are now).”

Hear from my families

"Kelly has been an absolute godsend for our family from day one. When I was pregnant with twins, she provided invaluable support, helping me navigate the overwhelming process of preparing for their arrival. She thoroughly explained what to expect before, during, and after my c-section, easing my anxieties and making me feel confident and prepared. After my premature babies were born, Kelly continued to be a beacon of support, offering a safe, judgment-free environment where I could learn how to care for my twins in a way that worked best for us. Her ability to adapt to our unique needs and offer practical, personalized solutions made all the difference. Now, as a mom of three—our twins are 5, and we have a 3-year-old—Kelly has once again proven to be indispensable, this time helping us with sleep. Thanks to her expertise, all three of our kiddos are now sleeping through the night in their own beds, which has been life-changing for our family. We’re all able to wake up well-rested and ready to take on the day. Kelly’s wealth of knowledge, empathetic attitude, and out-of-the-box thinking make parenting so much easier. Whether you’re a first-time parent or have been through it all before, everyone should have Kelly in their village. I can’t recommend her enough!"

"We reached out to Kelly for help with sleep training our 4 month old before I returned to work. We were at our wits end only being able to do contact naps through the day and with him waking every hour in the early mornings. Within days we saw age-appropriate improvements. Kelly answered all our questions as they arose and gave us different strategies to try to help our baby. By the end of the 2-week period he was sleeping much better overall and we knew what we needed to do to continue to help him learn to sleep well. We are so grateful to Kelly and her expertise and support. Working with her changed our household for the better. We highly recommend her!!"
